PRETREATMENT

Capacity: We offer online iron phosphating and de-greasing as well as two pack etch priming as detailed below.

Online Phosphating: We operate a state of the art Vol-Tec paint line with on-line iron phosphate pretreatment capacity allowing us to handle a high volume of throughput quicker and at a lower cost than other methods.

Iron Phosphate: Iron phosphate used is R-Phos 619.

Etch Priming: Two pack etch priming can be applied to aluminium prior to a top coat for both powder coatings and wet sprays.

Zinc Rich Primers: For extra corrosion protection, a zinc rich primer can be applied. For maximum corrosion resistance this primer with its high zinc content will provide cathodic protection on shot blasted steel with the dried film containing 92% by weight of zinc (approximately 64% by volume) and conforming to BS 4652 Type 3, which is specified by the Department of the Environment for structural steelwork priming.
